Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026 · applies to the Omnimo app (formerly privateSLM) for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and to this website

Omnimo is made by Mega Studios ("we"). This policy explains what happens to what you type into the app.

Apple Intelligence: nothing leaves your device

When you chat with Apple Intelligence, your messages and documents are processed on your iPhone, iPad or Mac by Apple's on-device model. We receive nothing.

Cloud models: your messages go to the model's maker, through our server

When you pick a cloud model (for example GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or DeepSeek) and agree to the notice the app shows before the first message:

  • What is sent: the conversation you are having with that model — your messages, the model's earlier replies in that chat, your system prompt, and the text of any document you attached to the chat. Documents are read on your device; only their text is sent, never the file.
  • Where it goes: to our server, which forwards it to our AI routing service and from there to the company that makes the model you picked: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Alibaba (Qwen), Moonshot (Kimi), MiniMax or Zhipu (GLM), in some cases through OpenRouter. What each of them does with it is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
  • What we keep: no chat content. Our server keeps, per App Store account, a count of the day's messages, which it needs to apply the daily limits, and for a subscription, which App Store accounts have used it. Our routing service keeps request metadata (model, size, time, cost) for billing and troubleshooting and is set not to store message content.
  • Identifier: to know whose daily limit a message counts against, the app sends the App Store's signed record of your download and purchases. It contains an App Store identifier for your download of this app — not your name, email address or Apple Account.

Chats, documents and settings

Your chat history, attached documents and settings are stored on your device only. Deleting a chat or the app deletes them. There is no account and no copy on our side.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold by Apple. We never see your payment details. Purchases are recorded with RevenueCat, our subscription provider, under the same App Store identifier, so that Pro works on your devices and renewals, refunds and restores are handled correctly.

Voice

Dictation uses Apple's Speech framework, on the device where your language allows it; otherwise Apple's speech recognition service processes the audio under Apple's privacy policy. Replies read aloud are spoken on the device.

No tracking

Omnimo has no advertising, no analytics SDK and no tracking, and does not track you across apps or websites.

This website

www.privateslm.dev uses no cookies, analytics or advertising. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.

Children

Omnimo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes and contact
